DANA CHRYST
Chief Executive Officer
Dana
began her career with the company
in 1981 as an account executive.
Progressing steadily through positions
of increasing responsibility, she
gained valuable experience in all
major facets of company operations.
In 1991, she was named president.
In 2003, Dana purchased controlling
interest in the company from her
father and company founder J. Freeland
Chryst. Shortly thereafter, she
became CEO. Dana is active in the
community and has been the recipient
of several prestigious awards including
the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce
Athena Award, the Ernst & Young
Entrepreneur of the Year Award,
and the Central Penn Business Journal's
Pennsylvania Top 50 Women in Business
Award. Under her leadership The
Jay Group was honored as one of
the 100 Best Places to Work in
Pennsylvania, recognized as one
of Pennsylvania's fastest-growing
companies, and earned a Lancaster
Chamber of Commerce Quality Excellence
Achievement Award, which is based
on the national Baldrige criteria.
