Founder
Founded in 1965 by J. Freeland Chryst ("Jay"), The Jay Group has undergone tremendous growth and positive change.
The company owes much of its success to the foundational groundwork provided by Jay. Following World War II service
in the United States Navy and successful early career experience in sales, Jay was consumed by the entrepreneurial
spirit that resulted in the birth of his own promotions processing and marketing services company. Today, this
company is The Jay Group. Under Jay's leadership, the Jay Group prospered and grew into the full-service sales
promotion and fulfillment services organization it is today. The company continues to reflect and benefit from
his vision, values, and business perspective. In addition to a wide range of community, family, and leisure activities
that make for a busy "retirement," Jay remains active in his involvement with the company as Chairman of the Board.
