Shopify Fulfillment

Flexible Fulfillment That Keeps You Competitive

Shopify fulfillment is the storage, picking, packing, and shipping of orders placed through your Shopify store — connected to your storefront so inventory, orders, and tracking stay in sync, and handled by a third-party logistics partner so you don’t run a warehouse yourself.

Jay Group provides Shopify fulfillment for direct-to-consumer brands from facilities we own and operate, with a direct connection to your Shopify cart through an API or supported apps.

That means the operation behind your store is run by us, not brokered out to a network we don’t control — and it shows up exactly when it matters: at peak, during a launch, and every time a delivery promise is on the line.

Why Shopify Fulfillment Matters

Your Shopify storefront is the promise; fulfillment is whether you keep it. A customer who checks out at 11pm doesn’t see your warehouse — they see whether the right product arrives on time, in packaging that looks like your brand. Get it right and they reorder; get it wrong once and you’ve paid to acquire a customer who won’t come back. The other risk is quieter: if your store and your warehouse aren’t talking to each other in real time, you oversell products you don’t have, disappoint buyers, and eat the refund. Good Shopify fulfillment closes that gap. It keeps available-to-sell accurate, moves orders to the floor the moment they’re placed, and pushes tracking back to the shopper without anyone lifting a finger.

What's Included in Our Shopify Fulfillment

Shopify fulfillment at Jay Group is more than pick-and-pack. Every account has access to:

Direct pick, pack, and ship for every Shopify order, seven days a week
Direct Shopify integration via API or supported apps, with dedicated Shopify logistics support for troubleshooting, custom requests, and software issues
Real-time order retrieval, inventory sync, and tracking updates
Coupon code and gift message retrieval, address verification, and live carrier rates
Branded packaging and custom unboxing — the box a customer opens is part of the product
Kitting, bundling, and subscription assembly
Returns processing and reverse logistics
Lot, batch, serial, and expiration tracking (FIFO/LIFO/FEFO) for regulated or dated products

Services can be used on their own or combined, and the operation is tuned to your SKUs and channels rather than forced into a one-size template.

Shopify Fulfillment at Jay Group

Jay Group runs Shopify fulfillment as one connected operation. Your inventory sits in a single accurate pool, and orders flow from Shopify to a warehouse we run directly — picked, packed, and shipped seven days a week. A footprint across the East, West, and central U.S. puts more than 90% of the country within two-day ground shipping, so you reach customers fast without paying for air. And because we own and operate our facilities, the people running your Shopify orders answer to you, not to an outside investor’s quarterly return.

Direct Shopify integration through API or supported apps

You connect your Shopify-powered cart directly to our warehouse technology, either through the Shopify API or through supported apps. Once connected, the handoff runs on its own: orders are retrieved automatically, inventory stays synced, and shipping status and tracking updates flow back to your store and your customer. Coupon codes and gift messages come through with the order, address verification runs before anything ships, and real-time shipping rates pull straight from the carriers. Your Shopify channel stays in step with the rest of your business, so there are no inventory surprises and no delivery gaps.

Real-time sync that keeps your store honest

Your store only works if it shows the truth. Our integration syncs orders, inventory, and tracking between Shopify and our floor in real time, so available-to-sell is always accurate and you never sell a unit you can’t ship. When stock moves, Shopify knows. When an order ships, the customer gets tracking. You aren’t reconciling spreadsheets at the end of the day to find out what actually happened.

Every channel from one inventory pool

Most growing brands don’t sell on Shopify alone. Jay Group also connects the marketplaces you sell through — Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Walmart, and Wayfair — plus wholesale and B2B through SPS Commerce EDI. All of it draws from the same inventory pool, so you don’t fragment stock across channels or guess which platform to allocate to. One source of truth, every order type shipping from it.

The Technology Behind Our Shopify Fulfillment

Jay Group runs Shopify fulfillment on software we built and enterprise systems we trust. A proprietary order management system gives you real-time inventory and order visibility, AI-powered demand forecasting, and reporting you actually log into through a client access portal — not a monthly PDF. Underneath it runs Manhattan Associates WMS, a longtime Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for warehouse management systems. Our ecommerce API connects platforms, marketplaces, and technology providers — including ShipStation, Extensiv, Salesforce, NetSuite, and SAP — with 50-plus integrations and an in-house development team for the connections that don’t come off a shelf. If your Shopify stack has a custom piece, we build to it and keep the cost transparent instead of buried in renewal fees.

Why Jay Group for Shopify Fulfillment

Most brands are told to pick between a tech-forward platform and a hands-on operator. Jay Group is both — a proprietary, AI-powered platform running in warehouses we own and operate, staffed by a team that stays. We’ve been privately owned and woman-led since 1965, we hold a 99.9% order accuracy rate, and we’re a repeat Inc. 5000 honoree with 60-plus years behind the operation. Every one of our facilities is FDA-registered and cGMP compliant, ISO 27001 certified, and equipped to handle regulated and hazmat products few 3PLs will touch. Before you sign with any Shopify fulfillment partner, ask two questions: do you operate the building my product sits in, or broker it — and who do you ultimately answer to. Our answers have been the same for six decades.

Shopify Fulfillment FAQ

What is Shopify fulfillment?

Shopify fulfillment is the storage, pick-and-pack, and shipping of orders placed through a Shopify store, usually handled by a third-party logistics (3PL) provider and connected to the store so inventory, orders, and tracking stay in sync automatically.

How does Shopify fulfillment work at Jay Group?

You connect your Shopify cart to our warehouse through the Shopify API or a supported app. Orders are retrieved automatically, inventory syncs in real time, and orders are picked, packed, and shipped seven days a week — with tracking pushed back to your customer and full visibility in a real-time client portal.

Can Jay Group sync Shopify with marketplaces and wholesale?

Yes. Shopify orders ship from the same inventory pool as your marketplace channels — Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Walmart, and Wayfair — and your wholesale/B2B orders through SPS Commerce EDI, so you never fragment stock across channels.

Who is Jay Group’s Shopify fulfillment best for?

Emerging, fast-growing Shopify brands scaling their fulfillment — generally those shipping at least 5,000 orders a month, with flexibility case by case, especially in regulated categories that need FDA-registered handling and lot control.
