What Sets Jay Group's Value-Added Services Apart
This is where Jay Group is genuinely different, and it is worth being specific rather than generic.
SKU transformation that creates revenue without new inventory
Most 3PLs can bundle. Fewer can go the other direction. Deconsolidation un-combines a product from a larger multi-pack to create a new SKU, so a supplement brand fielding requests for single bottles can transform existing 90-day supplies instead of ordering new inventory from the manufacturer. That answers demand in days rather than a production cycle, and it turns slow-moving stock into a sellable format.
Automation where it saves money, hands where it does not
Shrink wrapping, banding, labeling, over-labeling, and carton insertion run automated, which is where cost comes out of a program at volume. The work that needs judgment, including display assembly, gift wrapping, and inspection, stays with people. Both happen in the same building, on the same inventory.
A dedicated quality and compliance department, not a spot check
Value-added work is where errors are cheapest to introduce and most expensive to discover. A mislabeled carton reaches a retail DC and becomes a chargeback. Jay Group runs quality and compliance as its own internal function, with consistent inspection and reworking, and 100% inspection plus 200% double inspection where a program requires it.
Account management is a service, not a contact record
Value-added programs fail on communication more often than execution. A pack-out changes, a new retail partner comes on, a promotion moves, and the warehouse floor finds out late. Jay Group runs on-site account management at a 5:1 client-to-account-manager ratio, so the person guiding the warehouse team on your SOPs knows your product, your seasonality, and your standards. That is not a support queue. It is one person accountable for the work.
A portal that lets you change things yourself
Our proprietary order management system runs alongside Manhattan WMS, with 50+ native integrations and an in-house development team behind it. Increasingly, the value-add is what you can do without asking us. Packing slip templates are the current example: you design the layout, set the rules that decide which slip applies to which order, test it against a real order, and roll back if you change your mind. No ticket, no configuration cycle.
Regulated categories handled as standard
Every Jay Group facility is FDA registered, and lot, batch, serial, and expiration date tracking follows the product through every value-added step. Re-labeling a supplement lot, repackaging an OTC product, or preparing a medical device for retail does not require a special arrangement. It is how the facilities already operate.
